Rocco and I had to travel to Biloxi and landed at a rural airport some distance to our destination.  While traveling we were using a Garman GPS and we traveled into the bayou, into unfamiliar territory.  There were stand alone bars in the middle of nowhere.  It scared us and reminded us of the movie, "Deliverance!"

The only thing missing was the sound of the dueling banjos.  We laugh afterwards as we exited the bayou and entered the city!

We miss you Rocco and you are always in our prayers!

I saw Michelle while she was at the NX Commissary, she was just leaving the spot reserved for Navy Captains/Colonels but did not see me as I was parked right in front of her while she was driving away. She looks well!

Rocco has always been an inspiration for military and civilian personnel throughout his career in the San Diego Waterfront especially at the former Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) and into its transformation into the re-engineered SWRMC, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center San Diego. I personally attribute much of my professional military growth and career to his mentorship!

His light has never dimmed, remains bright then, and continues to remain brighter even now.  

After his retirement, he authored the get-together of the former SIMA leadership held at Casa Guadalajara in Old Town while he continued to work at Humphrey's By the Bay.  What a gig to watch all those free concerts and events! Hopefully, after this insidious pandemic, we can all go to t Casa Guadalajara and toast Rocco's celebration of life!

We all watched Rocco grow even further after he married his lifelong partner, Michelle Sterrett.  

The legacy that Rocco left behind is a tribute to his character, passion, heart, devotion, and love of life.

He is sorely missed and my prayers are always with him and his family!

Our wonderful “brother” who lived a life of generosity and compassion. We will miss you as we try to share your legacy of giving and daily enjoyment.

Rocco will be missed by many including myself. Rocco was a very nice person and I met Rocco as an usher at Humphrey's. He was our usher captain and am sure we all will miss him. My prayers and condolences are with him and his family.

We have lost a good one.  I have known Rocco through ushering  at Humphrey's for over 27 years.   From the onset of our friendship, we talked many times about his rides out the 94 to our back country and Potrero on his motorcycle. I have a number of memories of Rocco (from camp to CKids to Humps to Sta Sophia to Humphreys, etc.)... the best ones will always makes me laugh. Compassionate and generous... always ready to help, a true gentleman.  Hmmm looks like I’ll have to find another concert venue my friend... don’t think I can go back to Humps.  RIP dear Rocco 🙏🏽❤️

A Godly man, selfless, compassionate, caring, thoughtful and inspiring. These words describe my dear friend, Rocco  Diubaldi, a man who has left an incredible legacy of service to others.   Rocco was a long time volunteer for the Easter Seals Adapted Aquatics Swim  Program and other special events. He had an incredible way with children and such a special bond with them and their families.   So many children  over came fears and gained confidence because of Rocco. He was always doing random kind gestures, always making everyone feel special and happy. His smile lit up every room and his positive and joyful spirit was contagious.   Rocco impacted so many lives and will be deeply missed.   My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and I know God has told him, "well done good and faithful servant. "

Rocco has had such an incredible impact on the community, and many, many, lives are better because of him.  As a long time volunteer for Easter Seals, he was part of our extended family and loved to help out at every event and spend time with the kids and their parents.  He was greatly loved, and he will be greatly missed.

Rocco was a long time motorcycle enthusiast and I was fortunate enough to have some great conversations with him and sell him a couple of Indian Motorcycles that he loved to ride. We will miss him here at the shop and our condolences go out to all his family and friends. He was a really cool guy. RIP Rocco.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Rocco, the world has lost a great man. He was a long time volunteer and supporter of Noah Homes. He dedicated many hours to support the residents in their sports and activities. He will be missed!! Heaven has gained another angel. Thank you Rocco for sharing part of your life with us. May you rest in peace.
