Sal spent 23 years in service to his country in the United States Navy E-8 Senior Chief Petty Officer. (SKCS USS Ticonderoga SPD-2). He dedicated another 20 years at National Steel & Shipbuilding Company as a Shipbuilding Buyer and Consultant. His most important work and the job he was always the best at was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and had passion for Cooking.

To Ruby my wife I loved you very much and enjoyed the second half of my life with you. To all my children: Salvador Jr., Danny, Albert, Shirley and their Spouses: (Jeri, Cindy,Tonia & Mike). My grandchildren Andrew, Breanne, Jennifer, Jacob, Emileo, Joshua, Selena, Jared, Mariah, Samantha, Ciarra, Marissa, Little Sal, Kiley, Matt and Kayla. My Great Grandchildren Isaiah, Gabriel and Aaliyah. I Love you all very much and I tried to help and sometimes it was challenging, but I Really do Love you all!

Underlying complications due to Cancer, passed naturally and peacefully.

Military Service:
23 Years Retired in 1980, E-8 Senior Chief Petty Officer
National Steel & Shipbuilding Company 20 Years Retired in 1999, Consulted till 12/15/2000.
His sense of duty helped lead him into the military where his understanding of rank, his willingness to abide by rules and regulations and his desire to follow orders was admired by his fellow service men and women. Subic Bay PI, Oakland and San Diego. Served in the Vietnam War Ships served: USS Piedmont, Buchanan, Vancouver and USS Ticonderoga. Through his hard work and dedication, SK-9502 Special Instructor 20 Years. He received several awards recognizing his for his heroism, including a National Defense Service Medal, Fifth Good Conduct Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy E Ribbon, Armed forces Expeditionary Medal Korea, Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation with Gallantry Cross.
