Sergio Rene Ortega Godinez

Sergio was born on February 6,1973 in Tijuana and was the proud son of Sergio Rene Ortega Rodriguez and Leticia Ortega.

In 1990, as a High School student of Cetys High School, Sergio joined the Osos Football team , and made many great memories as a quarterback of the team. It was one of the greatest times of his life as he loved to play Football and won many games against very challenging opponents in San Diego and Tijuana. In 1997 he graduated from college and obtained a degree from Instituto Tecnológico in Tijuana in Industrial relations.

While in University, on February 13, 1994, Sergio meet his soon to be wife Cynthia Osuna and dated for 7 years before they got married in 2001 in Playas de Tijuana and held the official ceremony in Punta Bandera. In 2006 they welcomed their first child Sergio Ortega Osuna, followed by their second one, Valeria Elisa Ortega Osuna, who was born in 2010.

Sergio enjoyed to travel with his wife and children to many destinations including continued to live Bahamas, Yosemite, Palm Springs, Italy, and many more as he was living his life to the fullest and making many great memories with his friends and family; he was an excellent father and husband who always put his family first.

Sergio is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia, his two children, Sergio and Valeria, his parents, Sergio and Leticia, siblings, Roberto, Arturo, and Alejandro, his in-laws, Cande and Nando, his brothers-in-law Luis Felipe Osuna, who was like another son to him since he met him before he was born, and Walter Osuna, and many friends who were touched by Sergio and his joyful personality and enormous heart. Sergio was always willing and able to lend a hand to those he loved and needed him. He loved his family and friends so much.

Although Sergio's passing at a young age is heartbreaking for those who were lucky enough to get to know him, he will always be remembered in our hearts and his spirit will always accompany his loved ones.
