Socorro was born in Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara, and as a young women moved to Tijuana with her mother and six siblings. It was there that she met her husband, Cruz Jaime, and together they built a life with five wonderful children.
Socorro took on life’s greatest and most challenging role being a mother. She was free-spirited who refused to be held back, her love was fierce, her spirit unbreakable, and her heart full of devotion. She was a straight forward woman with incredible strength, wisdom, and grace.
She loved cooking and sharing meals that brought everyone together, sewing, finding the best bargains, and spending time at the swap meets. She had a special love for traveling, shopping at Macy’s, and taking her cherished annual road trips to Las Vegas. All those trips filled her heart with laughter and unforgettable memories.
Her greatest joy was always her family. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride, love, and happiness.
Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to guide us always.
