Doña Irma, como la llamaban sus queridas amigas, nacio en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina el 6 de Marzo de 1928 y fallecio en San Diego, CA el 10 de Mayo del 2018. Sus padres, Ramon Perez y Argentina Cosimi, sus hermanos, Carlos Alberto y Nestor Luciano, su pasion, la musica.
En su juventud Irma fue concertista de guitarra y aunque su familia se opuso, ella tomo empleo en una tienda de la ciudad, La Central, donde fue conocida como una de las mejores vendedoras de su generacion.
A los 28 años conocio a Eladio Fresno, un joven inmigrante Espanol, se enamoro, y se caso con el formando una hermosa familia en la cual nacieron y crecieron sus dos hijas, Blanca Ines y Ana Silvina.
Nuestra madre nunca estuvo ociosa. Ella no era de perder el tiempo. Cuando no estaba atendiendo su hogar, ayudaba a neustro padre en su negocio, o daba clases de guitarra para sus suplementar ingresos. Fue una xcelente cocinera y nos deleitaba con sus magnificas recetas.
Luego de mas de treinta años de casada, nuestra madre enviudo y con la muerte de Eladio, Irma comenzo una nueva travesia. Tomo clases de literatura, escritura y computacion. Irma uso su internet y correo electronico hasta los 90 años. Una voraz intelectual siempre estuvo al dia con los sucesos de politica internacional, arte y cultura, y nos inspiro con sus cuentos cortos, bellos poemas y reflecciones sobre la vida.
Sus hijas le regalaron cuatro nietos. En order de aparicion: Sidney, Soledad, Clara y Belen. La Abuela los amo a todos por igual y ellos llenaron sus dias con la alegria y esperanza de un futuro mejor. Doña Irma tuvo tambien el privilegio de disfrutar la magica presencia de Malena, su bisnieta, quien segun nuestra madre es un angel que bajo del cielo para traer dicha al mundo.
Irma nos deja un legado invaluable. Su amoroso ejemplo de madre entregada y amiga leal va a vivir por siempre en nuestros corazones. Irma fue una mujer que vivio mas alla de su generacion, en la vanguardia, siempre abogando por la igualdad y los derechos de la mujer.
Irma ha dejado una brillante luz encendida en el alma de todos aquellos que la conocieron.

Doña Irma was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 6th, 1928. She died in San Diego, CA on May 10th of 2018. Her parents were Ramon Perez and Argentina Cosimi, her brothers Carlos Alberto and Nestor Luciano and her passion, music.
In her youth, she played classical guitar. Against her family's wishes, she took employment in a local clothing store, where she became one of the best sales woman of her generation.
At 28, she met Eladio Fresno, a young immigrant from Spain. The fell in love and got married. Together they formed a beautiful family with the birth of their daughters Blanca Ines and Ana Silvina.
Our mother was never idle. She did not like to waste time. When she wasn’t taking care of her home and children, she was helping our dad at the restaurant or teaching guitar lessons to supplement their income. She was an excellent cook and always delighted us with her incredible recipes.
After more than 30 years of marriage, she became a widow. With Eladio’s death, she began a new journey. She took literature and writing classes and, in her 60s, learned how to use a computer. She used her email and web access until her 90th year. A voracious intellectual, she was always up to date on international politics, art and culture. She enlightened us with her short stories, beautiful poems and philosophical reflections about life.
Her daughters gifted her with four grandchildren: Sidney, Soledad, Clara and Belen. Abuela loved them all with equal intensity and they filled her days with joy and hope for a better future. Doña Irma was also able to enjoy the magical presence of her great granddaughter Malena, who in mom’s own words is an angel sent from heaven to bring joy to this world.
Irma left us with an invaluable legacy. Her loving example of committed mother and loyal friend will live in our hearts forever. Irma was a woman who lived ahead of her generation, in the vanguard, always advocating for the rights and equality of women.
Irma has left a bright light shining in the soul of all those who met her.
