

Valentin M. Cabalce was born on March 12, 1919 to Agustin Cabalce and Maria Dolores Mata in Uyugan, Philippines. He was raised in Batanes with five siblings Raquel, Guillermo, Luis, Carlos and Pastora.
Valentin met and fell in love with Regina Bejarin and the couple exchanged wedding vows on September 5, 1947. The wedding ceremony was held at Santo Niño Church in Uyugan, Batanes, Philippines. Valentin and Regina were blessed with four children, Jimmy Cabalce, Evaristo Cabalce, Marylou Toledo and Felisa Padilla. Later in life they received the joy of twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Valentin left us on January 9, 2012 at the age of 92. He passed away in Chula Vista, California. He is survived by his wife Regina B. Cabalce, his children, Jimmy and wife Aurora, Evaristo and wife Delia, MaryLou and her husband Andy, Felisa and husband Onel; grandchildren, Pablo Cabalce and wife Analiz, Valarie Cabalce, Christian Cabalce, Christopher Cabalce, MaryAnne Almario and her husband Rey, Aileen Toledo, Andrew Toledo, Francis Padilla, Noelle Padilla, LizaMae Padilla, Marinel Padilla and Maria Cristina Cabalce; as well as three great-grandchildren, Dominick, Anicka Cabalce and Ace Almario. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Valentin M. Cabalce was later laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
