Virginia was born in Jalisco, Mexico on May 21, 1905 and came to Santa Monica, California newly married in 1924. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and led a life by good example with a very close walk with the Lord and fervent devotion to the Virgin Mary. She had a keen mind up to the last day, enjoyed being around family and celebrated the gift of life.
Mrs. Gomez is survived by her 12 children (7 daughters and 5 sons), 34 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Antonio Gomez and 3 grandchildren.
