

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Yvonne Lillian Wagoner Fields was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Yvonne will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Yvonne’s life journey began on February 10, 1932. She first greeted the world in Kansas City, Kansas where she was also raised. Her parents' were James A. and Marie Norton. She was raised with two siblings Marcel and Bob Norton.
Yvonne was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Yvonne attended and graduated from Chula Vista Adult School in 1969. She also attended Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, California for a Semester. One of Yvonne’s accomplishments was that the published “Pretty Religious Pilgrimage to Europe”.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Yvonne experienced that with on March 17, 2003 when she married Thomas G. Fields Jr. The wedding ceremony took place at Chula Vista’s City Hall. Empathic and loyal, Yvonne was committed to making her family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Yvonne was blessed with six children Bob, Dorothy, Glenda, Carrie, Jolita and Jimmy. Yvonne worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Yvonne was blessed with the gift of 19 grandchildren, 36 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-grandchild.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Yvonne enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Yvonne worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Yvonne worked in the Communications Department for the Department of Defense for 20 years.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Yvonne enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including listening to music, playing the Piano, Bingo, Pinnacle, bowling, “Party” , traveling, shopping, joke telling, liquid embroidery, crocheting and going to the Casino.
Yvonne Lillian Wagoner Fields left us on June 6, 2012. She passed away Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Diego, California. The cause of death was due to Congestive Heart Failure and COPD. She is survived by her husband Thomas G. Fields Jr., sons Bob and Jim Wagoner, daughters Dodie Hall, Glenda Wagoner, Carrie Spencer and Jolita Brazzano. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Chula Vista, California on Friday, June 15, 2012. Yvonne was laid to rest at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
So this is Yvonne’s life, the sum of the woman that she became. Simply stated, Yvonne was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Yvonne leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Yvonne Lillian Wagoner Fields touched will always remember her with a smile.
