Betty Sue Stokes Strachn

Betty Sue Childers Strachn, 73, died Friday, February 11, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born March 29, 1937, to Clovis Edward Stokes and Verdie Pearl Smith Stokes. She was retired, and a Baptist.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Ronald Michael officiating and Dustin Childers delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Glen W. Strachn; a son, Travis (Tami) Childers of Booneville; one sister Louise (Floyd) Calley of Marietta; one brother, Travis (Lucille) Stokes of Booneville; four grandchildren, Dustin Childers, Lauren Childers, Miranda King and Jonathan (Myra) King; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Clark and Aubrie Clark.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wayne Childers; one daughter, Tammy Childers King; her parents; two sisters, Marie Hurt and Maxine McAnally; and one brother, Freeman Stokes.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 am until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
