Clara C. Taylor

Clara C. Taylor, 89, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Hospice. She was born February 23, 1923 to Joseph Lee and Ada Mae Tidwell Clark. She married Travis Harding Taylor on May 20, 1944 and they remained together until his death on February 9, 1969. She was a member of Hills Chapel Church of Christ and she was retired From Prentiss County school system.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday September 23, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Johnny Miller and Minister Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Martin Hill Cemetery.

Survivors are one son, Wayne (Shirlee) Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor of Booneville; one sister Joyce (Jim) Lewis of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren, Brian, Joseph, and Grant Taylor; one great-grandchild, Samuel Lee Taylor; one special friend, Cathy Todd.

Preceded in death by, her husband of 25 years; her parents; one son, Jerry Lee Taylor; four sisters, Betty Joe Martin, Agnes Wilemon, Louise Turvaville, and Clister Mathis; one brother, Leo Clark.

Pallbearers will be Brian, Joseph, and Grant Taylor, Travis Long, William L. McKinney, and Mac Gilliland. Honorary Pallbearers are the men of the Hills Chapel Church of Christ congregation.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday September 22, 2012 and until service time on Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home.
