Dixie J Lauderdale Stevens

Dixie Lauderdale Stevens, 78, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born February 26, 1938, to Carl and Essie Lauderdale. She was retired from Northeast Mississippi Manufacturing and a member of Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Blakney officiating. Burial will be in the Old Mormon Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Gena (Joe) Mardis of Booneville; two sons, Robert (Emma) Stevens and Gary Stevens, both of Booneville; two sisters, Bonnie Hunter and Carolyn Brasel, both of Booneville; one sister-in-law, Lila Lauderdale of Booneville; seven grandchildren, Pamela, Bobby, James Ray, Brandi, Ginny, Angel and Jet; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar N. "Toot" Stevens; her parents; and one brother, Billy Joe Lauderdale.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2016, and until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
