

Mavis Evelyn McCombs, 87, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born January 8, 1928, to Baxter Price and Dona Fannie Corbin Green. She retired from Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Carolina United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, crafting, and gardening.
Celebration of Life at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville with Bro. Kerry Powell and Bro. Daniel Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by a daughter, Mona (Ronnie) Davis of Booneville; a son, Jerry (Judy) McCombs of Dallas, TX; one sister, Sue Carter of Ripley; seven grandchildren, Keilty (Jason) Childs, Rondy (Daniel) Rodgers, Devin (Alexandria) McCombs, Sarah McCombs, Charles McCombs, Macy McCombs and Scarlett McCombs ; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. “Dude” McCombs; a son, Steve McCombs; her parents; six sisters, Zena Moore, Vera Gurland, Ila Vines, Catherine McKee, Oneda Wakefiled and Jeanette Green; and two brothers, Lowell Green and Floyd Green.
Pallbearers are Denny Parker, Scott Green, Philip Carter, Trent Carter, Jarrett Carter, and Billy Gillespie.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00P.M. at the funeral home.
