James T. McKinney

James T. McKinney, 73, of Booneville died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at home. He was born August 18, 1939 to Rather and Erma McCreary McKinney. He attended Gaston Baptist Church and worked as a brick mason for Hopkins Masonary in Tupelo.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Burrows and Bro. Matt Brown officiating, with Jerry Trimble delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Michael McKinney; one daughter, Melissa McKinney Hancock of Booneville; two sons, Mike (Sherry) McKinney of Pontotoc and Joey McKinney of Booneville; a special niece and nephew, Susan and Shane; one goddaughter, Marilyn (Bob) Kelly of Booneville; three sisters, Polly (Kboy) Lauderdale of Booneville, Marge Leathers of Nashville, and Liz (Jim) Newcomb of Corinth; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and one sister-in-law, Juda McKinney of Booneville.

Preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Bill McKinney.

Visitation will be 5-9pm on Monday and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
