
Wynona Jean Holley Jacobs, 86, passed into the light of her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born February 2, 1929, to Wheeler J. and Irene Tackett Holley. She and her brothers and sisters all graduated from Booneville High School. She went on to Clark College, where she met the man she would spend most of her life with, an army veteran named John I. Jacobs. She followed him into a life of ministry both in Southern Baptist churches and on the mission fields of multiple Caribbean countries. During that time she bore two sons, John I. Jacobs, Jr. and Thomas J. Jacobs. After retiring from missionary life, she and John settled down in Booneville in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Booneville.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Duke officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by both sons; a grandson, Matthew James Jacobs; and multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and lifelong love, John, in January 2014.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at First Baptist Church in Booneville.
