Jerry Wayne Beard

Jerry Wayne Beard, 71, of Booneville, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born September 22, 1943 to Ranzy and Eva McCoy Beard. He worked for General Aluminum of Rome, GA and was a member of Oakleigh Church of Christ. Wayne loved Ole Miss and the Booneville Band.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Robbins and Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Carolyn Beard; three sons, Michael Wayne Beard & special friend, Deborah Coleman and Jerry Steven (Jackie) Beard both of Baldwyn, and Cory Adam (Stacy) Beard of Clayton, NC; his twin sister, Jane (James) Johnson of Booneville; two brothers, Billy (Nancy) Robbins of Louisville, KY and James Harold (Glenda) Beard of Harvest, AL; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren ; one sister-in-law, Zelma Spencer of Booneville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Beard; five sisters; and three brothers; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Christine Spencer and one brother-in-law, Noel Spencer.

Visitation will be 5-9 on Monday April 13, 2015 and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
