Jerry C. "Bud" Michael

Jerry C. “Bud” Michael, 69, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at North MS. Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Jesus Name House of Prayer, a retired Law Enforcement Officer and former Prentiss County Sheriff.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 9, 2010, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scotty Downs, Bro. Gene Coltharp, and Bro. William Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 8, 2010 and continue until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kara Nell Horton Michael; one daughter, Teresa (Scotty) Downs of Blackland; two sons, Terry (Tonya) Michael and Greg (Candice) Michael both of Blackland; three sisters, Ouida McDowell, Ressa Reese, and Reba Burns all of Jumpertown; one brother, Bobby Gene Michael of Jumpertown; six grandchildren, Christopher Robinson, Kayla Wade, Diedra Michael, Meagan Thomas, Lexi Cooper, and Brady Cooper; three great grandchildren, Taylen Downs, Braylen Thomas, and Lilly Kate Wade.
