Lea Illa McCreary

Lea Illa McCreary, 86, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at her home. She was born June 24, 1932 to Will and Emma Milam Carr. She was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church. She worked at Marietta Manufacturing for many years and later worked at Booneville Auto Sales for 23 years before retiring. She loved fishing, gardening and shopping but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Hooper and Bro. Mark McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

She is survived by Randle Jackson, who was a special part of her life and was always by her side; son, Freddie McCreary (Sissie) of Baldwyn; daughters, Janice Rutledge of Booneville, Linda Jackson of Marietta, Pam Cole (Rusty) of Booneville and Lafonda Bell (Kenny) of Booneville; brother-in-law, Floyd McCreary; grandchildren, Matt Lindsey (Layne). Chris McCreary (Heather), Jeffery McCreary (Joyce), Marty McCreary (Elaine), Marla Patterson (Todd), Janie Foster (Ben), Corey Jones, Michelle Rich (Frankie), Devin Inman (Cynthia), Misty Harris, Tonya Russell (Bo), Morgan Bell (Owen Elliott) and Jason Cole; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great- great- grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred McCreary; sister, Flora Arleana McCreary; three infant sisters; granddaughter, Melinda King; great grandson, Hunter Inman; three brother-in-laws, Lester McCreary, Wallace McCreary and William Riley McCreary.

Pallbearers will be Matt Lindsey, Devin Inman, Chris McCreary, Jeffery McCreary, Marty McCreary and Corey Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Harris, CJ McCreary, Joe McCreary, Eathan McCreary, Jake Patterson and Luke Foster. Special pallbearer, Randle Jackson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 and until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
