

Lula Woodruff Johnson, 103, passed away, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at her daughter’s home. She was born November 24, 1910, to A.D. and Ollie Blakney Woodruff. She was a member of the Snowdown Church of Christ before moving to Madison, where she attended the Madison Church of Christ for the past 20+ years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
A celebration of her life will be at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Mike Winkler and Minister Donald Green officiating. Burial will be in Forked Oak Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Lavelle Johnson of Madison, AL; two granddaughters, Lisa (Jerome) Harmon and Lora (Mike) Smith, both of Madison, AL; and five great-grandchildren, Abby Lee, Allyson, Bryant, Grant and A.J.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mearl H. Johnson; her parents; a son-in-law, Horace Johnson, Jr.; three brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers are Jerome Harmon, Mike Smith, Bryant Smith, Craig Davis, Grant Smith and A.J, Harmon.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
