Ruby Denson

Ruby Denson, 76, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at her home. She was born October 23, 1938, to Troy and Alvia Thornton Hall. She was a member of East Prentiss Baptist Church, where she was very active. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, 2015, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship and Bro. Chester Harrison officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Nolan Denson; one daughter, Pam Harris; one son, Tim (Patti) Denson; one son-in-law, Bill Harris; four grandchildren, Melissa (Danny) Van Beurden, Rachel (Jesse) Finley, Matthew Harris and Bree Harris; and four great-grandchildren, Grace Van Beurden, Daniel Van Beurden, Leelyn Finley and Rilyn Finley.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Denson and Perry Denson; her parents; and one sister, Allene Baker.

Pallbearers are Larry Jones, Bill Bradick, Denny Shaw, Steve Taylor, James Thornton, Gary Thornton and Josh Jones.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
