

Ruth Yancey Lovell, 91, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth. She was born November 28, 1921 to the late Andrew Lee and Anna Marecle Yancey. She was retired from ITT and a member of Hinkle Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was church clerk for many years. She was a founding member of the Hinkle Homemaker Club and enjoyed all types of crafts, especially plastic canvas. She also enjoyed being a homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Hinkle Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Stacy and Bro. Excail Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Hinkle Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, David (Chris) Lovell of Peoria, AZ and Donnie (Glynda) Lovell of Hinkle; four grandchildren, Robin Turner, Lori (Donald) Julen, Allison (Todd) Talley and Don (Lydia) Lovell; seven great grandchildren, Lindsey, Lee, and Mallory Julen, Chelsea Edge, Will Talley, and Andrew and Benjamin Lovell; one sister, Frances Savarino of Los Angeles, CA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Henry Austin Lovell; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Charles Lowry, Jimmy Holley, Keith Kelly, Fred McCord, Doug Johnson and Danny Ballard. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Roy Marecle, Charles Yancey and Joe Gray.
Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 at McMillan Funeral Home and she will lie in state one hour prior to the service at Hinkle Baptist Church on Tuesday.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to the Gideon International for Bibles.
