Zack Metheny

Zachary “Zack” Paul Metheny, 14, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Carl R. Darnall Hospital in Ft. Hood, Texas. He was born April 26, 1999 to Tim and Betty Metheny. Zack was a student at Killeen High School. He was a member of the freshman football team, golf team and track team. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hope Mills, NC.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

Survivors are his parents, Tim and Betty Metheny of Fort Hood, TX; one sister, Madison Metheny of Fort Hood, TX; his grandparents, Richard and Ann Mayo Johnson, Tom and Beverly Metheny; one great grandmother, Bonnie Metheny; his aunt, Phyllis (Bruce) Dodds; his uncle Jason (Charity) Metheny and four cousins, Logan, Tanner, MarKrissa and Savannah.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Howard James.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at McMillan Funeral Home and until service time on Sunday.

The doner should make memo that reads donations in tribute to the remembrance of Zachary Paul Metheny. TAPS is an organization that supports children who have lost a parent during Military deployment.
