I was blessed to have Jack as my atty back in 2008.  I relocated to GA and just TODAY, saw he had passed.  My sincerest condolences to his wife and family, he was a remarkable and genuine man!  Rest in peace my brother!

I have learned with great sorrow of the untimely passing of our dear friend, Jack. As a colleague it was a joy when our paths crossed. There would be that wonderful smile and warm greeting. It was always a great pick  up for me, the times I would see him at the street corner, in court or at public events. I confess he would always say when was that application coming in? Alas it never got filed. But it was a boost for me to know how much he cared. His like does not pass this way often. He will always remain in my memory.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Jack Moscardelli.  I met Jack in his role on the Judicial Nominating Commission, where he was a thoughtful, kind and reassuring presence for the many applicants seeking judicial positions -- I was a beneficiary of these aatributes.  I saw him often over the years, when I had lunch with colleagues in the basement cafeteria near the court, and his warm greeting was unfailingly delivered with a smile.  He was a highly regarded attorney, widely admired for his even temperament and good nature, and he will be sorely missed.

It has been one week since Jack went to God.  Still so hard to believe.  The only slight consolation is that he and Alfred are having a laugh or two at all of us on the snow!  I first met Jack when I was sixteen through my father who was a friend of his Dad -Al.  I was struck by his outstanding good looks and soon developed a school girl crush.  Later in life we were "church buddies" often having great conversations outside St Anthony's for endless amounts of time.  I will miss those times and I will surely miss you, dear Jack.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the loss of your husband and father.  What a wonderful man, a gentleman and good friend.  I had the pleasure to serve with him on the Board of the Boston Redevelopment Authority.  He loved this great city and always shared his skill and wisdom to make this was a better place. Bostonians will long remember the blizzard of 2013 not just because of the snow God showered on us, but also His decision to take Jack and Alfred from us.  A lifetime of friendship and separated only by geography in their final moments, a wonderful parting for them, but such sadness for those left behind. My sister and I only have timeless memories of Jack's contagious smile and his love for you both.

I met jack as a young ADA and i helped him with a difficuelt case that he appreciated that i stuck my neck out for justice, ofcourse he was doing it for free as generous as we all know he was, he instantly liked me and we grew a friendship because he liked that even though i had the authority and power to hurt his client i chose not to and actually helped him!!! The months after he came in and paid me a very great compliment he said i reminded him of him!!!  My most sincere regrets and prayers God took a great one from us!!!

"Dear Jack: When you weren't in the courtroom or the barbership, you'd be found in the press room talking with the likes of Al Sheehan. I remember canvassing the Boston neighborhoods with you during the Byrne campaigns, I remember Susan and I, you and Cheryl boating over to Washburn Island for Sunday picnics and you bringing five Sunday newspapers to peruse; after our days as public servants came to an end I would meet you at the barbership and we would go for a drink to discuss the fate of the world (you cranberry and soda, me a glass of wine); sitting in your mom and dad's garden off Maravista, and watching you run by me in the Falmouth Road Race. So many memories, I shall cherish forever. Good bye, Jack, and God speed on your journey.

As you all know Jack attended Mass quite regularly at St Anthony's Shrine and I had the pleasure of getting to meet and to know him in my short brief chats with him on those days that our paths would cross on those shared Sunday mornings. I really looked forward to seeing him as he always had a warm greeting to give me and he always showed interest in how my life was going as a nurse and I of course loved to hear his stories about his family and his work that he shared with me.   He spoke lovingly of his family his wife Cheryl and his daughter Dana.  He was upbeat engaged and a true gentleman and he was so decent and thoughtful of those around him.  I am stunned to learn of his passing as I saw him last Sunday.  I am so happy that I was able to give him my "big guy" bear hug that he used to call me at times....I will treasure that moment in time forever!!!!!!!! I will miss him,his voice his presence his spirit and I trust that he has his family and friends in his heart "with all of us" as we struggle to go on without him.  I know that he was a deeply spiritual man so I trust that he is close to God now touching us in ways that we will notice in time.  I am sending you a "big guy" hug Cheryl. Although I do recall at our last dinner in the friary, we exchanged stories about our medications for diabetes and, as always with Jack, it was a laughter-filled discussion! Inevitably when I would be coming home from my ride around the Charles, I would happen upon Jack in the Common or on winter Street and we'd spend a few minutes catching up on the world. For the past 8 1/2 years I had the pleasure to be part of the lunch group with Jack, and a cast of other lawyers and judges et al. He was a lawyer's lawyer. I will cherish that I knew such a great person. He was a mensch in the true sense of the world. Rest in Peace.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Jack.  His first cousin, my mother, the late Elayne (Giuliano) Murphy always loved him and used to tell me and my sisters great  stories about visits with him and the Moscardelli familly when they were young.  God bless and  my prayers and sympathies are with you.

Cheryl and Dana, please accept my deepest sympathy.  Hearing of Jack's passing was terribly sad news.  My family and I have always had the highest regard for him.  He has been a friend for so long.  We have so many fond and fun memories of Jack over the past four decades.  He was always so thoughtful and kind and genuine.  Jack touched many, many lives throughout the legal profession, in political circles, and in the Church community.  He was such a positive influence no matter what he did or where he was. It is such a painful loss.  I hope and pray that belong too long the wonderful memories of Jack will bring you some measure of comfort and peace.
