John W. Tse, of Randolph MA passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was first and foremost a proud and protective father to his only child and daughter, Anita, a devoted and opinionated husband to his wife of almost 40 years, May, and a rebellious but loyal brother to his sisters and brothers. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
John lived a life full of flavor, rhythm, and perfectly timed one-liners. He had a deep appreciation of good food, all kinds of foods from sweet to savory, especially a proper medium rare steak with A1 steak sauce. He loved his sweets and had a huge sweet tooth.
Music was another one of his great past times. Whether it was the smooth disco era of the Bee Gees or the poetic lyrics of 70s Canto Pop music, he played them proudly and passed the same impeccable music taste to his daughter. He was also a fan of television and movies, happily settling in for a good show on his favorite spot on his couch, always ready with strong opinion of what he was watching. John had a genuine love of cars, not just as a way to get from one place to another, but for the feel and the drive. He appreciated both standard and automatic. For him, driving wasn’t just transportation; it was the freedom, the control, and the thrill of the acceleration.
But what many will remember most was his sense of humor. John never passed up the opportunity for a well-placed, occasionally inappropriate, sometimes politically incorrect innuendos or jokes. He had a soft spot for humor that pushed the envelope that made it impossible not to laugh. His humor was part of his signature.
He was often an introvert and independent, but beneath that was someone who cared deeply and who showed up. His legacy lives on in shared meals, familiar songs, favorite shows, open roads, and the kind of laughter that sneaks up on you when you least expect it.
