Larry Veysey, 70, passed away December 30, 2019. He was born March 8, 1949, the son of Lawrence and Rhoda (Cropley) Veysey. Larry graduated from Houlton High School in 1968 and then went on to receive a degree in social work from the University of Maine. He worked for the state of Massachusetts for over thirty years before retiring. He loved to travel, spoke several languages, and enjoyed learning about other cultures. His love of reading historical books led him to operate his own book store buying and selling books he found all over the world.
Larry is survived by his mother, his sisters; Lois Flewelling (Dale), Dedra Quint (Lenny), and Sherri Toner (Matt); his brothers; Russell (Etta), Mitchell, Don (Jeanne), Laurel (Cindy), Doug (Pam) and sister-in-law, Robin (Floyd) plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and his older brother Floyd.
A Memorial Service will be held in the spring in Houlton, Maine.

My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Veysey and her family. I have many memories of Larry going back to our days at U of Maine. He was a caring and supportive friend for many years. I am truly saddened to learn of his passing.
