Helen Marie Doyle

Helen “Marie “(Flynn) Doyle passed away on April 5, 2014 at the young age of 95. Born on June 3, 1918 in Belmont, MA, to the late Thomas Willard and the late Anna M. (Dupree) Flynn. Loving wife of the late William L. Doyle who died in 1991. She was predeceased by her siblings Thomas Willard Flynn II, Kathryn A. Glynn and Richard P. Flynn.

A 1936 Belmont High School graduate, at a young age you would see her on the tennis court in Belmont or curled up with a good book. She loved to knit a little something for one of her 5 children or make Nana’s banana bread to have on hand when the grandchildren dropped over. Being close to her family was a treasure and she loved a good party where she could dance the night away. She married her love Bill Doyle in 1942 and shared 49 wonderful years together. They lived in Quincy and Arlington before coming to Cummaquid in 1978. She and Bill spent many winter visits to Florida before his death.

She is survived by her 5 loving children: Marcia Sullivan of South Dennis; Sheila Doyle of Naples, Florida; Kevin W. Doyle and wife Regina of Douglas, Ma; Tricia and husband Steve Campbell of South Dennis; and Denise and husband Russell Wilfong of Orlando, Florida; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren plus a bun in the oven, and 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her smile and singing would light up a room. She will be deeply missed by her family and all her friends and the staff at Epoch of Harwich.

A very special thanks to Dr Salama and staff at Boston Medical, all the team at Epoch of Harwich, and the staff at Hope Health for their kindness and caring for Marie through her final days.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday April 14th from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6a, Sandwich, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, Sandwich. Burial to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
