Jeff Cole was born on August 7, 1956, in Evanston IL, and passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2024, at Falmouth Hospital after many years of declining health. He was the son of the late Lawrence B. and Barbara B. Cole of Cataumet, MA. Jeff is survived by his sister Barbara A. Cole of Littleton, Colorado, his niece Anna Cole Hebert of Denver, Colorado, his nephew John Cole Hebert of Littleton, Colorado, and his brother-in-law Robert C. Haywood. Jeff was a gentle soul but was always willing to give you his opinion with a hint of sarcasm.
Jeff grew up in Weston, Massachusetts, and graduated from high school - class of 1975. From a young age, he was a superb swimmer with first-place ribbons in butterfly, backstroke, and diving through the Weston Golf Club. He had a passion for all things music. He worked for local bands in the Boston area and went on to become a musical technician for Aerosmith, Joe Perry Project, Fahrenheit, and Jon Butcher Axis to name a few. He loved playing bass guitar and was an avid rock and roller attending many concerts.
Jeff lived for over thirty years on Cape Cod. Jeff became a very successful salesperson for various retail establishments including Radio Shack, Sleep Number Bed, and Sears. Jeff continued to work for several nightclubs using his knowledge of musical sound systems. After retiring, Jeff became a part-time driver for car dealers in Hyannis. He always had a Cheshire-like smile on his face when he plugged his music into the stereo systems of the newer cars that he drove too aggressively based on the head-banging rock and roll that would be playing. He was known for loving all things fast like cars and motorcycles.
Jeff loved his cats and saltwater fish aquariums. He loved collecting guitars and music memorabilia. Oh, and one thing about Jeff, he would always remind you that his Birthday was approaching and send you subtle reminders. He was also an avid New England Patriots football fan and Red Sox fan.
Jeff was loyal to his lifelong friends from the Weston area, his coworkers, and a few musicians he met on the Cape. While Jeff suffered from many debilitating health problems, he was quick to say ‘have a nice day.’ He had several friends that called him every day just to check in and enjoy his extremely dry sense of humor. He was admired by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
