

He was born to the late Joseph R. And Katherine Sullivan, Aug. 4, 1941, in Medford, MA. Rae graduated from English High School in 1959 and received a BS in Marketing from Boston College in 1966. He married the late Janet (McSweeney) Sullivan in 1966, and they lived together in Pocasset, MA, where he was a resident for 47 years. He was also married to Donna Callahan Sullivan.
Rae was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and a sales rep for various packaging companies. He loved his boat, Maggie, the beach and reading.
Rae is survived by his daughter, Katherine Schwartz, and her husband, Ryan, of Camp Verde, AZ. He also is survived by his 2 granddaughters Mary Bugbee of Los Angeles, CA and Annie Bugbee of Camp Verde, AZ; as well as his sisters Pat Conway of Milton, MA, Kathy Connolly and her husband Billy of Milton, MA, Maureen Sullivan of Milton and a brother Michael Sullivan and his wife Barbara of Scituate, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Wounded Warriors Project in Rae’s name.
A viewing will be held at 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM Wednesday, July 13th at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, followed by a 10 AM mass at St. John’s the Evangelist Church in Pocasset. Burial is private.
