Marjorie A. Jenkins of Pocasset, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the McCarthy Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Frank P. Jenkins and Bernice T. Jenkins. Also, the niece of the late Anna T.
Swift.
Marjorie was raised in Pocasset and educated in the Bourne School System. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bridgewater College and a Master of Education from Lesley.
Her interest in Girl Scouting took her to Camp Edith Macy in New York where she took a course on training women to be Girl Scout Leaders. She then started a troup in Pocasset and was a counselor at Camp Storrow in Plymouth.
Marjorie worked at Otis for a combined twenty years for the Air Force and Coast Guard. She worked an additional twenty years as a teacher in the Bourne Public Schools.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocasset and the Bourne Historical Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Pocasset Cemetery County Road Pocasset. Arrangements by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA.
