
She was the daughter of the late Charles H and Odelia (Fortin) Hammond, Great Great granddaughter of Blind Joe Amos, The Baptist Minister of the Wampanoag Tribe.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1943.
Elizabeth worked for years at the Barnstable County Water Div. in Osterville.
Elizabeth enjoyed doing art and crafts, knitting, quilting and painting with her late twin Sister, Victoria H. Hammond.
Elizabeth also held office as P.G.R.M. Orderof the Amaranth and P.W.M. Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by many cousins, including her special care givers, Russell F. Beckman of Carver and Beverly Salvato of Lakeville.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Covenant Community Church, 360 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich. Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton at a later date.
