With profound gratitude and love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary Lincoln Sorenti, who died peacefully at home on December 22, 2025, at the age of 93. She was the youngest child of Warren E. Lincoln, Sr. and Helen Doris Hill.
A longtime resident of Sagamore Beach, Mary was the devoted wife of Joseph Sorenti, with whom she shared 71½ years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, hard work, and deep commitment to family and community. Mary was Joe’s partner in every sense, including in business, supporting him in the founding of JFS, Inc. with quiet dedication and unwavering encouragement.
Mary was the loving mother of nine children, the cherished grandmother of 25 grandchildren, and the proud great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and her home was always open - filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
For more than 40 years, Mary volunteered in the Bourne and Sandwich school systems. In recognition of her extraordinary service, she was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Bourne Public Schools and the Town of Sandwich. Her kindness and gentle presence touched generations of children.
Known affectionately as “Nonnie,” she had a special gift for making life feel meaningful and joyful—especially during the holidays. Christmas was her masterpiece, filled with tradition, generosity, and love, creating memories her family will treasure forever.
Above all, Mary was a woman of deep love, quiet faith, and steadfast devotion. Her legacy lives on through her family, her service, and the many lives she touched with grace and compassion.
Mary is survived by eight of her children: Mary Jo Coggeshall (Haydon), Joseph F. Sorenti Jr., Judith Sorenti (Norman Anderson), Janette Morse (Donald), Jane Sorenti (Jon Persson), Michael Sorenti (Lucille), Jennifer Sorenti (Ralph Burns), and Jonathan Sorenti (Cindy); her 25 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sorenti; her son, James L. Sorenti, and his wife, Maureen; her grandsons Richard Joseph Joy, Christopher Warren Joy, and Lincoln Anderson; and several beloved family members.
