

Myra Ross, 100, long-time Sandwich resident, died at home on October 24. She was the wife of the late John Wilcox Ross. Mrs. Ross was born and grew up in Connecticut and Rhode Island. She was graduated from Connecticut College in 1932 and worked for several years in Washington, D.C.
After her marriage, she settled in New England and eventually retired to Sandwich. She taught Mathematics in the Boston school system as well as the Upper Cape Regional Vocational School. She was an active member of the Sandwich Advisory Landscape Council. She was active in the Corpus Christi parish and was a volunteer at St. Clare's residence, Hyannis.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lynch (and husband Robert) of Berkeley, CA and Susan Jilson (and husband Harry) of Sandwich, and a son, Stephen Ross (and wife Sue) of Pocasset, as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A son, Patrick, predeceased her in 1978.
The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 on Saturday, October 29 at Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Corpus Christi Building Fund (324 Quaker Meeting House Rd, East Sandwich, MA 02537) or VNA Hospice (434 Rte. 134, South Dennis, MA 02660).
