Paul W Lowndes

Paul William Lowndes was born in Brockton, MA to the late Mary Rita (Mahoney) and William (Bill) Lowndes on January 22nd,1949. Paul graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, class of 1967 and Stonehill College, class of 1971. He followed in his father's footsteps and worked for First National Food Stores then moved onto the office products industry.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane; caring and loving sister, Noreen Nackenson (Lowndes) and her husband Jody; nephews Matthew Sohm and his wife Jennifer, Alexander Gay and his partner Demi, Maxwell Gay and his partner Haleigh; niece Julia Nackenson and her partner Edwin ; brother-in- law, Arthur Gay and his wife, Lisa; great nephews Dylan and Reuben and great niece Emily. Paul enjoyed the nicknames lovingly given to him by others including Grumpy, Tall Paul, Low Capow, Paulie Wally, Minor (Diane was major).

Paul was blessed with treasured, caring and understanding family and friends who always checked in and showed great empathy for his health circumstances. If you wanted to know anything about Boston sports teams, Paul was the one to call. The green Ford convertible he drove in college was referred to as the Low Mobile. By Paul's side over the years stood his fur babies Whiskey, Casey J. and Sandy.

Visitation will be Monday, December 5th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 141 Shore Road, Pocasset, MA. Burial will be private.
