He graduated from Bourne High School in 1982, and received his Associate's degree from Cape Cod Community College, attending Disney University, in Orlando, as part of his college experience. He worked for the Steamship Authority as an Able Body Seaman, and was the original owner of the Corner Cafe in Pocasset, where he was the Chef. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, and was an avid sports fan of all New England teams. He also loved dogs, especially his boxer "Brady."
He is survived by his mother, Rita, his brother, Kevin, and his wife, Stacey, of Sandwich, as well as 2 nephews, Dan and Chris. He was also the brother of the late Robert Blount. A celebration of life will be held from 11 am to 12 pm at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home on Wednesday November 12, 2014, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. A memorial service will be held at noon. Donations in his name can be made to the MSPCA or an animal shelter of one's choice.
