

Anne Foster Reynolds was born on January 8, 1951, in Carrollton, Alabama to the late parents of Hubert Foster and Anne Bell Billups Foster. She passed away, at the age of 74, on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Growing up as the daughter of an Air Force Servicemember, Anne received her early education in Michigan and Northern Africa then completed her secondary education in Maryland. Anne earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
Anne began her career in reservations and later worked in marketing for Delta Airlines in Washington DC and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Anne subsequently served as a government contractor for two years before she became a federal civilian servant with the Department of Defense. She retired in 2016 after a 39-year career. Anne actively participated in her homeowners' association and served as President for many years.
Anne had a strong faith and close relationship with God. Through prayer, she sought guidance, wisdom, and trusted God’s perfect plan for her life. Anne’s favorite scripture was Psalm 23.
Family was important to Anne. She prioritized family reunions, consistently ensuring her attendance plans were confirmed well ahead of time. Many relatives will remember Anne’s beautiful smile, kindness, and generous spirit. Her compassionate heart resulted in multiple life-long friendships.
She was extremely knowledgeable about a myriad of subjects and what she didn’t know, she thoroughly researched. As a child, she was an avid reader and spent a lot of time in the library. Anne was dependable and wanted the best for family and friends. She encouraged everyone to strive for excellence; she strongly believed that if it is in a book, you can learn it. You knew exactly what she was thinking by her facial expressions and the wave of her hand. Her favorite phrase was "you do you."
A travel enthusiast, and a globe trotter both describe Anne. Her sense of adventure to explore the world included travel to Zurich, Milan, Turkey, London, Dubai, Caribbeans, Canada, Hong Kong, Panama, and other places throughout Europe, Asia, Mexico, and South Korea. However, her favorite place was the beach.
Anne's talent for interior design shone through in her home's aesthetic appeal. Her wardrobe showcased her keen fashion sense. She looked through magazines to gather inspiration for decorating, while also sharing her passion for fashion and interior design with others.
Anne, preceded in death by her parents, leaves to cherish her memories: sisters, Millie Nevels, Shirley (Earl) Turner, Dorothy Groome, Toni (Gregory) Gibson, Sharon Waldon (honorary sister); a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
