David M. Ahearn of Washington, DC passed away on February 25, 2022. He was born on March 17, 1940 in Hartford Connecticut to Francis T. Ahearn and Loretta Lorden Ahearn. He attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH and served in the Army, where he bravely fought germs and bacteria as a health officer.
He had a long career in journalism, working for the News American (Baltimore), Annapolis Capital, Bloomberg, Daily Bond Buyer and other publications, focusing on local and national politics and defense industry news.
He is survived by his ex-wife Carolyn Ahearn and children Michael Ahearn (Marie), Jenny Bartimo (Barry) and Peter Ahearn (Carrie) as well as 4 grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements have yet to be finalized but are being prepared by Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD.
