On Monday, December 12, 2016 Doris Mae McVey of Clinton, Maryland passed away at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. Doris is the wife of the late John R. McVey; mother of Carol Beall and her husband Ernest; sister of the late Mary Rice, Hilda Elkins, John, Robert and Linwood Thames; grandmother of Robert, Stephen, Denise, Brian and Ernie III. Doris is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a special nephew Keith Elkins and his wife Sharon and family. Interment will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
