John "Jack" David Lightner of Bowie, MD died on Monday, September 24, 2012. Jack was the husband of Elizabeth Lightner; father of Paige Shaeffer and Erin Lightner; brother of Charlene Eckenrode, Margaret Smith, Joseph, Timothy and James Lightner and the late Robin Fagan. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins’ Kimmel Cancer Center’s Skip Viragh Center for Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Research and Patient Care, 100 North Charles Street, 1 Charles Center, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201.
