

Maxine Parker was born to one Josephine L. Batten on November 3, 1948, in Rocky Mount, N.C. Whilst a young girl, Maxine, her mother who preceded her in death on May 5, 2019, and her siblings moved up to Brooklyn, NY. Maxine was an excellent student and gifted artistically to draw, paint, sing and play multiple instruments. After graduating high school, Maxine completed her Associates degree in Liberal Arts which allowed her to begin an awarding and dedicated 34 years of service with the Social Security Administration. Early retirement allowed Maxine to move to Pa. to be near her daughter Cicely, son-in-love Miguel, and her only grandson Devin. After being diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, Maxine's health rapidly declined until being called home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2022. Maxine also leaves behind 1 daughter Cicely T. Santa with husband Miguel, 1 grandson Devin A. Jones with wife Precious, 1 sister Lois A. Leitzsey, 2 brothers William A. Parker with wife Valerie, & Walter R. Parker Sr. with wife Michelle, a host of nieces, nephews & her future granddaughter expected January 30, 2023.
A visitation for Maxine will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
A repast will be held following the service at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home.
