I’m sorry to hear about Roderick’s passing. Your whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. Though I can only say that I only got to see one part of who he was as a person, one thing that stands out to me as I think of him now is how strong a spirit he had. I will always remember the first time I met Roderick and how he helped me fix his own wound dressing even though he was pretty medicated and had a machine breathing for him. He kept gesturing at his backpack until I figured out he had all his supplies inside and wanted me to use them. Strong in spirit indeed! I have told this story about him quite a few times and if it’s true that a soul lives on in our memories and the stories we tell, then a small part of Roderick will continue on every time I tell someone that story about him (which I hope is ok to do). Again, sending my condolences and prayers to all Roderick’s family and friends.
