Roy was a graduate of Deering High School and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY., where he graduated with his Masters in Aeronautical Engineering.
Roy was a member, was a chairman twice and later a trustee and of the Capital Hill United Methodist Church of Washington DC.
His daughter Nancy Dusenberry, her husband Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews survive Roy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eleanor, his loving Son Paul and his caring sisters Ruth Adriance, Lillian Berry and Irma Segler.
A visitation for Roy will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
