Susan Cady Johnson

Daughter of the late Raymond I. and Elizabeth M. Cady. Susan Cady Johnson (Bowie, MD) aged 69 passed away March 3, 2026. She was born March 31,1956.

Susan retired as an Engineering Technician after a long career at the Naval Ordnance Laboratory and the Naval Surface Research and Development Center, Carderock, MD.

Survived by son Kenny E. Johnson, Brothers Raymond (Mike) Cady, Gambrills, MD, Spouse, Sue Patrick K. Cady, King George, VA. Timothy Brian Cady, Silver Spring, MD. Sisters Kathleen M. Grudberg, Littlestown, PA. Spouse Robert Karen C. Turner, Clarksville, MD. Spouse Robert Nieces and Nephews Jason Joyce, Michelle Lowe, Christopher Cady, Brianne Cady, Michael Cady, Colleen Costanza, Matt Cady and the late Kevin Cady. Also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a dedicated mother to her son, she was a passionate and proud cat mom to both her own as well as any strays in the area that needed assistance. She was also an amazing cook who would make more food than anyone could eat and would always be there with someone’s favorite dish on a special occasion or when they were in a time of need.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. Following the funeral mass, a reception will be held at the American Legion Disney-Bell Post 66, at 9605 Old Laurel-Bowie Road, Bowie, MD. 20720.
