I still miss Willie every day and at least once a day I remember some profound or hilarious tidbit he would share with me. My life has been forever changed by his love, friendship and support. He was an angel that God sent to me at a time when I was struggling emotionally and in need of direction. Thank you Willie! I will love you forever.

Thank you for your sense of humor and loving heart. It took me awhile to get used to and understand your sense of humor, but it is that humor I hear and see in all of your children.  You were a hard worker and it certainly rubbed off on Robbie. You showed him how to love, forgive and be a good person. For that I am forever grateful.  I will miss you! I truly believe you are with God and at peace, watching over all of your family. Until we all meet again…

I was blessed to have Willy as a friend, mentor and spiritual guide. My life has been transformed forever because of our relationship. I am eternally thankful and honored to have known him. My love and prayers go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Thank you Willy and I will try not to get in the ring!

Pops....I will miss sitting at the kitchen table sharing a meal and conversation with you.  I will miss our Sundays together.  Watching football games.  Seeing you at the kitchen table when I would arrive and waving good bye and I love you when I left.  You always were there with advise, listening ears, words of encouragement and your love.  You were so kind, thoughtful, caring, and funny.  I love listening to your stories.  I am so thankful to God that He had allowed us to live together and enjoy our time together even for just a short while.  I wish we had more time together.  I long for the day we will see each other again and can catch up.  I love you Pops.  Thank you for loving us.

My Pops, a friend, confidant, advisor, teacher, my angel....He has taught my brothers and I so many things.  He was always there to share a kind word, a helping hand, to listen and to tell a good joke or two.  He always had great work ethics and below is one he shared with me.
I remember leaving for my first day at work to my very first job.  I was almost 16 years old and so excited to start work.  As I was heading the door, my father said " come here young lady.  I want to talk to you before you go.  Now you are doing that man any favors by working for him, he is doing you a favor by hiring you.  And he has hired you to do a job.  So do your job.  When you are done and there is still time left, go to your boss and ask if there is anything else to do.  If he doesn't have anything, then you sweep the floor, take out the trash.  I don't want to catch you standing around with your hands in your pocket.  Now go on to work, enjoy yourself and have a good time."  This valuable work ethic Pops taught me continues to this day.  There is always something that needs to be done.  I will truly truly miss him.  

So sorry for your loss. Willie was a great and caring man and will be missed by so many.

I have been blessed to call you my Father in Law for the last 26 years and always will remember the kind words you have always freely given.  Twenty-eight years ago when I met you for the first time I left your house convinced you didn't like me.  First words out of your mouth were " so your the dumb broad-who is dating my son" Nobody had ever talked to me like that and I told Chris-"your dad hates me!!" his reply was no that is  just how he is.  Boy was he right!!! Over the years those words didn't change- always true and correct! in what he told us- whether we wanted to hear it or not. I miss you very much and I am very thankful for you imparting your wisdom to all of us.  I have seen so much in Chris that reminds me of you-- we may be in trouble!! lol   
Thank you for molding Chris and our family into who they are- and if they mess up they will sit in the truck to get their head straight! 

My Dad was my mentor, my friend, my encourager, always had my best interest at heart. He was like my boxing coach in my corner, watching me go through the rounds of life and giving me wise words between rounds. Sometimes it was giving me correction when I was messing up and other times telling me I was doing good. Although he would make sure I didn’t get to full of my self haha. 

 Dad wasn’t one to complain, never dwelling on the past. He kept a positive attitude and kept striving to do what’s right. 

  I’m going to miss all the hours sitting at his kitchen table talking, working on his car and truck which he would not give up on, his calls in the afternoon asking “are you going to meet me at the gym today fat boy”? 

  His words of wisdom will be cherished for along time. He always had the right words at the right time. 


  Dad I’m going to miss your smile, waving to me from the front porch as I left your house and all your texts.

I am so sorry to learn of Wllie's passing. He helped hundreds of people with his authenticity, generosity, and humor. He gave freely of himself, guiding others through this sometimes treacherous life, to peace and serenity. I will miss him greatly.

You are a Superhero to me and my family.  Arriving at some of the darkest times in our lives you always made it better. Your unmistakable laugh and sparkling eyes will be forever remembered with love and gratitude. You are truly one of a kind.

A straight shooter who told it like it is. His insight will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family. A great man who will always be with us in spirit. 

Willie called me J even when all know me as JJ, he was always asking how   my family was, and telling me to trust in God while I was going through my divorce. He used to walk up to me , stand very close and put his finger in my chest and tell me " Gods Got You " don't give up. I'll never forget him.

Willie was given a gift of insight into what makes people tick and his ability to share that in a simple straightforward way helped both myself and my father as well as countless others. 

We will miss you Willie. 

Mr. Willy was like a big brother to me. I didn't have any siblings and he was like an uncle to my daughters. He was very wise and kind. He patiently taught me to cut and lay tile. He had so much love in his heart and was always willing to share his skills and knowledge with others. He will be missed by so many of us. Love you, Mr. Willy.

Willy has been a great friend and mentor throughout the years. He will be missed.

Willie is my friend. We share the same faith. He is my senior. Often he assists me spiritually, especially after my brother was taken away from us in 1992. Willie is very kind and loving. He was blessed with two wives. Unfortunately both succumbed to cancer. Willie cared for each with his own arms and strength until each passed. Many people are blessed by Willie. He is a pillar of the Bowie Community. His passing is a great loss.
