Born in Clay Center, KS. He was the only child of Beulah (Fellers) and Frans Carlson.
He received his Bachelor's degree at Ursinus College and his Masters at the University of New Mexico.
Charles served in the US. Navy for 20 years attaining the rank of Master Chief. Later he worked for Lockheed Martin for 27 years as a Training Specialist.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy, and his daughter, Sena C. wife of Robert L. Stemple of Gilbertsville.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
