Born at home in a log cabin he was a son of the late Mabel Mattie (Kauffman) and Charles Peter Gruber.
Charles graduated from Boyertown High School in 1961. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for over 53 until his retirement at Boyertown Packaging now S&W Metals.
He is survived by his son Kenneth C. husband of Bonnie L. (Souders) Gruber of Fleetwood and his beloved do Mandy.
Charles loved to go to the “mountains” deer hunting and went on various other hunting trips with his son. Charles hauled his son’s race car to the track each Friday and Saturday night and enjoyed watching his son compete and celebrated right along side of him when he won or finished well. He enjoyed his muscle cars all through life and the past 7 years went to car shows with his big block ’72 Nova.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
