Born in Swedeland, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Jennie (Robbins) Woodside.
She was employed as a registered nurse for Norristown State Hospital until her retirement.
Jean attended Lickville Presbyterian Church, and Happy Trails Cowboy Church, both in Pelzer SC.
She was a dedicated volunteer at McCall Hospice House of Simpsonville. She was a member of the red hats organization and an avid traveler visiting 11 countries. Her favorite trip was visiting the pyramids and riding a camel in Egypt.
Jean is survived by her step children and children: Shirley Rutherford and her husband, Wayne; Donna McCarron and her husband, Charles; Michelle Cayce and her husband, Richard; Donald G. Orner and his wife, Nina.
Other survivors include: Grandchildren: Shawn Bishop, Ryan Rutherford, Kelly Foy, Danielle Davis, Jason Myers, and Heather Pingatore; Great-grandchildren: Shane, Shelby, Coby, Andrew, Trey, Zoey, Maverick, Anthony, and Christian. Special loved one: Jack, her grand donkey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and Sister Julia (Woodside) Kelly.
A memorial remembrance and luncheon will be held on February 15th, 2019 from 11 am to 3 pm at Schultheis’ Carriage House Restaurant, 745 Gravel Pike, East Greenville, PA. 18401.
