Born in Pottsville, PA. He was the only child of Verna B. (Shipe) and John K. Heywood.
John first worked for Jerries’ Market on R100 as a Dairy Manager. Later, he worked for Robert’s Meat Packaging working in Hot-dog Production. He retired from Pennhurst where he worked in the power plant in heating service maintenance.
John was known to many because of his kindness and unconditional love. He was married to his beautiful wife Earlean for 57 amazing years. The love they had for each other will forever live on in her heart. He lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by love from his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandson. He was their sunshine.
He is survived by daughters, Kimberly D. wife of Keith R. Boyer of Pottstown and Susan E. wife of Jason R. Wilkinson of Gilbertsville. Grandchildren, Kaitlyn N. Heywood of Boyertown, Amanda L. Boyer of Pottstown, Austin R. Wilkinson of Douglassville, Casie P. Boyer of Pottstown, Brinley N. Wilkinson of Gilbertsville and Great Grandchild, Landon M. Boyer of Pottstown.

Funeral Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512 on Friday May 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
Family and Friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
