Born on September 18, 1959 in Queens, NY she was a daughter of the late Mary and Harry McQuillan.
After high school she attended Katharine Gibbs secretarial School in New York to follow in her favorite Aunt Kathy"s footsteps to be a secretary. She worked for 2 different banks in Manhattan and while out for a drink with a friend met her future husband Richard. They married in 1984 and she relocated to Red Hook NY.
She was employed in the semiconductor industry for 26 years and rose from a secretarial position to account management. After her company failed in 2010 she successfully worked her way back into a professional account management position with an IT company VC3 in Columbia, SC.
She was a loving and caring person who valued family and friends over material things. Hardworking and dedicated she gave her employers 100% all the time and every company's staff loved her. She was always there for her family and every Holiday she succeeded at making the day special.
She took it upon herself to care for her mentally failing Aunt Kathy for years and after Kathy's passing decided to retire.
One month after retiring she learned she had lymphoma, and withstood the arduous and frightening trail of treatment and testing. Her physicians declared remission and her last recent blood work was normal but she always feared her cancer would return. Her sudden and tragic passing points to her sensing something was amiss.
Words cannot express our sorrow and shock of her death. To know Kathleen was to love her. Know in your heart that she loved you too. Her memory and life will be with us till we see her again face to face in the world beyond the living.
Psalm 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am with you." True Love never dies.
She wanted to be laid to rest next to her mother in law and forever friend Gladys V. Hall, they are now together again.
She is survived by her husband Richard J Hall, sons, Kevin R. Hall husband of Lila Miller of Raleigh,NC. and Stephen J Hall husband of Sofia Hall of Howell township, NJ. Grandchildren, Olivia Hall, Ava Hall and Harrison J. Hall all at home. Sisters, Janet Condit, Eileen Anglero and Theresa DeCrescenzo.Kathleen is also survived by her nieces, nephews and their families.
