Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home Inc.
It is with great sadness that the family of Marie L. Leeds announce her passing on June 10 at age 87 after a heroic fight with cancer at the Chestnut Knoll Nursing Home in Boyertown, PA. Marie, the daughter of the late Pauline (Bachich) and Anthony Kunjasic, was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years John “Jack” Leeds and her daughter Michele (Romano); born in New Jersey where she raised her family with Jack, she was a consummate mother and homemaker and also enjoyed entertaining and friendships that were made with her husband in business. Her charisma always lit up a room, whether it was her charming smile or well honed wit. Upon retirement, the time Marie spent in her homes with family & friends in Doylestown, PA; Cape May, NJ; Homestead, FL & Hyde Park, VT gave her great comfort and joy throughout her life here on earth. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, daughters Bonnie (David) Michael and Victoria (James) Lyon; a son, John “David” Leeds; six grandchildren, Christopher (Joanne) Michael, Jonathan Michael, Jacqueline (Kyle) Lapinsky, Thomas (Emily) Lyon, Jake Lyon, and Alexandra Lyon; a great-grandson, Benjamin Michael; and a great-granddaughter on the way, Isabel Lyon. Marie will also be forever remembered by her sister Palma Miller and by her nieces, nephew and extended family and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
