Richard D. Williams

Born in Wytheville,VA he was the son of the late Samuel and Margaret (Copenhaven) Williams.

Richard was in the United States Air Force during Peacetime. While in the Air Force he was on the Crash Crew. He was also a clerk and secretary in the Air Force. He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1961 and received the National Defense Service Medal as well as a Good Conduct Medal.

He was a machine operator for 30 years at Handy and Harman Tube Company,

Richard is survived by a son Richard B. Williams of Temple; three daughters, Beth A. Soley of Stowe, Christa L. Williams of Douglassville and Dana L. Haviland of Boyertown; four sisters, Geraldine Reynolds, Emily Platchek of Pottstown, Doris Yankcofski and Evelyn Wagner; five grandchildren, Brent, Brandon, Lindsay, Cory and Olivia.

Memorial services will be 4:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown.
