Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Blanche (Johnson) Carvelle and Manning Speakman.
Ruth worked for the Collegeville Flag Company for 25 years where she met Howard Heebner of Pottstown, who became her long-time partner and best friend. Ruth was full of love, generosity, kindness, and was known for her sharp wit along with an infectious laugh.
Ruth is predeceased by a son Dale S. Jumbelick in 2008. She is survived by her children, Donna J. Detwiler of Pottstown, James R. Jumbelick, Jr., of Winchester, TN, Russell A. Jumbelick of Sassmansville, Stephen M.Jumbelick of Quarryville, Penny I. Walker of Abington, and Melissa Hunnefield of Lititz. Ruth is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
